I’m not saying I’m no longer single.

And I’m not saying I’m in a relationship.

But I have met someone pretty special.

I’m happy to admit that as far as appearances go, this man is NOTHING like my type.

Why am I happy?

Because my interest in him is based on who he is as an individual and not because he looks like a lumberjack.

He’s got a good job.

A family.

Lots of side interests – such as camping, travel, and technology.

He owns five and a half cars (he gave his father part ownership of his late model Corvette as a birthday present because his dad gave him partial ownership of a car when he was just 16 and he wanted to say thank you in similar fashion).

Isn’t that sweet?

Yeah, I think so.

For our first date, we went to a pizza parlor and had a conversation over a pizza piled high with sausage, banana peppers, black olives and feta cheese.

I know, interesting choice of pizza (it’s called the Golden Greek), but it’s my favorite and he was a good sport and shared it with me.

Time flew by and before we knew it, it was after eleven o’clock and we were still chatting.

And he was kind enough to pick me up in his Corvette so I got to take my first ever ride in a Corvette.

All in all, I had a great time.

And I think he did too.

So there’s reason to be optimistic.
