Time to Party

Valentine’s Day is coming up and I’m going on a pub crawl with friends.

It’s a Table for Onesie Pub Crawl, so we will all be dressed up in unisex onesies.

I have seemingly a hundred onesies in my collection and I need to select one to wear that night.

I’m leaning towards my purple star onesie, basically because I love the idea of wearing my lavender wig.

But also, a rainbow unicorn would be nice.

I’m planning on taking an uber to and from the pub crawl so I can drink without worrying about getting a DUI.

Nothing like hoping into an uber in a big purple star onesie and a lavender wig to say “it’s time to PARRRRRTY!”

UnSCruz is coming!

It’s just around the corner and I realized (late) that with all the trips I’m taking this month (to Reno and Florida), there’s very little time to prep for unSCruz.

Fortunately, I have a really accurate inventory of all my camping gear courtesy of my neat-freak mother who made me go through all my stuff in the garage, clear out what I don’t need, and inventory what I’m keeping.

As is typical, I’m mostly worried about my outfits.

I haven’t had a chance to put anything new together.

I’d go with a standard tutu and tank top but all my tutus have been recycled because they’re OLD and covered in playa dust.

Honestly, off the top of my head I can’t come up with a SINGLE OUTFIT for unSCruz save my onesie outfits (which may be hot) and my peacock/butterfly outfits (which may be cold).

There’s not much in between.

There’s no time to shop so I’m just going to have to give it my best shot and go through the bins and bins of costumes I have and try to figure out what to wear.

Did I mention I have TEN itemized bins of costumes in my garage?

Indeed.

And that’s not even ALL of it.

I have bags of outfits in my bedroom.

Normally, I’d be in full consumer-mode right now, buying items to put together new costumes for unSCruz.

But that’s not going to happen this year.

I may have finally reached that threshold where I can raid my bins for outfits and find something appropriate to wear WITHOUT going shopping.

I so admire Burners who can create outfits without shopping for new clothes and accessories.

How many tiaras does one woman need?

One, right?

Unless you’re the Queen of England.

Last unSCruz costume post, I SWEAR!

Today I put the finishing touches on my final unSCruz onesie outfit.

I fell in love with this purple star onesie on Amazon:

It’s just so pretty and so perfect for unSCruz.

I’ve decided to go with a head-to-toe lavender look, including shoes, barrette, and wig:

It’s nice to not have to worry about accessories like fishnet tights or jewelry.

I love the simplicity of onesies.

I’ll bring some long underwear for underneath, just in case it’s really cold at unSCruz.

It just occurred to me that I’m SCREWED if it’s hot at unSCruz so I’ll have to bring some less insulated clothing to wear.

Good thing I have plenty of outfits for when it’s hotter than hell at Burning Man!

But I’m guessing it’ll be nippy during the day and cold at night so I’ll dress appropriately for moderately cold weather.

I’ll be prepared!

Monkey business

I’ve been thinking about Bizarre Bazaar.

What can I wear?

It’s in the beginning of May so it’s still a little brisk during the day.

And it gets cold at night.

So I came up with an idea.

Why not wear my onesies to unSCruz and combine them with unique hats and (maybe) wigs?

Check out my monkey business onesie:

Wouldn’t it be perfect to pair it with this hat from etsy?

Maybe I won’t be the coolest, or the sexiest woman there, but I’ll be warm and very VERY cheeky (the onesie has a butt-flap)!

Electro Threads

Have you ever stumbled across a site on the internet and just fallen INSTANTLY IN LOVE?!

I mean, BESIDES when you fell in love with UNBLUNDER, that is. . .

😉

Well, that’s what happened to me when I came across Electro Threads.

And FYI, this is NOT an ad and I am NOT getting paid to write this.

Yes, I was looking for a wolf swimsuit on the internet.

Something big, bold, and colorful.

Like me.

So there I am, navigating my way through wolf onesies for BABIES when I clicked on a link for this:

INSTA-LOVE!

But then, I had to check out their other swimsuits.

And their onesies.

And their leggings.

And before I knew it, I was adding 5 things to my shopping cart and clicking on “BUY.”

Ahem.

The wonderful world of onesies

I’ve been invited to TWO Valentine’s Day Pub Crawls.

The first is on the Friday BEFORE Valentine’s Day.

The second is on Valentine’s Day itself.

For both crawls, I will be wearing a onesie.

You know, one of those full body pajamas you see on babies?

EXACTLY!

Now, you might ask why I chose to wear onesies, and it’s a simple answer:

Because one of the crawls is a ONESIE Pub Crawl.

So I’m wearing a rainbow unicorn onesie because I like rainbows and unicorns.

The other pub crawl is a VALENTINE themed pub crawl.

And since my latex dress outfit fell through, I decided to just pick up a Valentine onesie and wear that.

It’s simple and doesn’t require lots of accessorizing.

Between you and I, I happen to have FIVE onesies – the unicorn, the Valentine, a zebra, the Grinch, and Chewbacca.

It’s impossible to have JUST ONE ONESIE.
